Citizens on Patrol
Headed by the Community Police Partnering Center, the Cincinnati Police, Cincinnati Initiative to Reduce Violence (CIRV), Concerned Clergy of Avondale, Avondale Community Council, and ACDC have partnered to target crime in Avondale.
At Avondale Comprehensive Development Corporation, we take care to provide the community with services personalized for their unique needs.

We provide a variety of Safety Initiatives including:
The uptown Safety Commission is a group of law enforcement, community representativess, and business owners from neighborhoods in the Uptown Consortium who meet monthly to discuss safety issues.
Volunteers patrol their neighborhoods, acting as the eyes and ears of the Police Department. Patrols concentrate around problem areas aiding the police by increasing visibility. COPP units deter crime by their mere presence and visibility to the general public. All members have completed a basic class with 12 hours of class training and an 8-hour ride-a-long with a police officer; they must also attend additional ongoing training throughout the year.

Avondale is using a private online network called "Nextdoor". On our Nextdoor site, neighbors share community events, recommendations, items for sale/free, crime/safety concerns, ideas about how to make our neighborhood better, and more. Our plan is to use Nextdoor as a private platform for neighbors to communicate about issues on their block. Please join us to build a better neighborhood!
Avondale Courtwatch is a group of concerned Avondale residents who follow court cases of crimes in Avondale.  Avondale Courtwatch is the voice of community, and is the sole community group acknowledged when making deciding the outcomes of Avondale criminal cases.
